Eunice Adewumi Oni grew up in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Mrs. Adewumi Oni earned her Juris Doctor at the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C. Attorney Oni is admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
Mrs. Eunice Adewumi Oni started her experience in the legal field as an intern for the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services while completing her undergraduate degree. As a law student, Mrs. Adewumi Oni represented clients in contracts, negotiations, and hearings in the Community Development Clinic and the Juvenile and Special Education Clinic. She further advocated in judicial proceedings on behalf of The Law Office of the Public Defenders in Dekalb County. Mrs. Adewumi Oni was a judicial intern for three judges at the District of Columbia Superior Court. Aditionally, Mrs. Adewumi Oni was also a law clerk for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Prince George’s County.
Attorney Adewumi Oni was an Assistant State Attorney for Prince George’s County before her transition to representing creditors in federal and state courts. Her Chaplin & Gonet practice concentrates on insurance subrogation and civil litigation.
